New technologies, highest demands on safety and security as well as more complex control units challenge the automotive industry

The amount of software in vehicles is growing, both in terms of value creation and development costs. This growth is driven by new technologies such as autonomous driving, Car2X communication, infotainment or connectivity in the car with CAN or Ethernet or the connection to the cloud via 5G. In addition to the classic AUTOSAR systems with safety and real-time requirements, there are more complex ECUs and multi-domain controllers with Adaptive AUTOSAR with high requirements for security and data integrity.

Even smaller ECUs have to be integrated into the complex architectures and thus achieve additional complexity through network and diagnostic capability.

For the analysis of AUTOSAR-based architectures, Axivion Suite can import ECU extracts in arxml format. This allows the communication of SWCs via the RTE to be analysed more precisely and ensures compliance with the architecture.
